Episode 15- Tips for Amazon Returns, Lockers, and More!

July 24, 2019 by Laura

In this episode, I explore a few recent experiences I’ve had with Amazon. You’ll hear my new love of Amazon Lockers, returning to UPS without packing your box, damaged package, subscribe and save, and reordering items you’ve purchased before. It’s a lot of information in a short episode!

You can listen to the episode on your favorite podcast app or simply click the player below to get it going. If you have any Amazon-loving friends, I’d appreciate it if you’d share this episode with them. As always, thanks for being here with me!

Show Notes: This post contains affiliate links. You don’t pay any extra, and I earn a small commission. I’d also like to call attention if prices I mentioned in this episode were prices I paid at the current time and may not reflect the prices you would pay at the time of reading or listening to this.

Amazon Lockers:
Here’s a great article about Everything You Need To Know About Amazon Lockers

Here’s my little recap from the show:
Delivering to a Locker:
-choose an Amazon Locker as the delivery method
-upon delivery, Amazon will send you a code
-when you arrive at the Locker, input your code on the screen.
-a compartment will open up and take your box!

Returning to a Locker:
-when selecting your delivery options, select “more options”
-select Amazon Locker and find your preferred location
-You print your label and pack it up.
-Arrive at the locker and select that you are returning on the screen
-Input your code that Amazon gave you with your return label details
-A compartment will open up. In my case, there was no way my box was going to fit in that tiny space, so on the touch screen, I selected “package is too big”
-so I closed the small compartment and a bigger compartment opened.
-put my package in, closed the door, and that was it!

Laura Learnings from this episode:
-Amazon Lockers are your friend. Don’t be afraid.
-Make sure you are delivering to the correct Amazon locker!
-UPS will now package your return for you, but be prepared with your return QR code on your phone to make it as quick as possible.
-Make sure you select “more options” to print your own label and package your return if you are returning any possibly embarrassing products
-You can return to Kohls if you want and have one nearby
-Save your return receipts just in case you have to prove you actually returned the item.
-If you are uncomfortable with the way your package looks at delivery, you can request a replacement
-Check out any subscribe and save discounts.
-When buying a product you’ve previously purchased, don’t automatically click buy again. Do a quick search first to see if you can find it cheaper.

Amazon Prime Day 2019- Day 2

Doing a little blog experiment today. I’m over on my Facebook page talking about deals I’m seeing AND love seeing what you are buying! Come join me!

My Amazon Prime Day 2019 Pondering Purchases

Prime Day 2019 is almost here! I love hearing about other products people are pondering, which is pretty much one of the reasons why I even created this blog/podcast, to begin with!

So, I compiled a list of what I’m looking out for this upcoming Prime Day, which starts on Monday, July 15th and ends Tuesday, July 16th. Is there any strategy to this list? Nope….it’s literally just items at some point in my 2019 life I’ll probably be buying them….hence…the Pondering Part.

My hope is that it’ll trigger some ideas of what you might need! Best of luck for any deals you find! Also, check out other competitors to make sure you’re getting the lowest price out there…..think Target, Walmart, Best Buy.

I’d love to hear about your finds or items you’re pondering. Please leave a comment. I’d legitimately love to know!

Toy Items: (My youngest’s birthday is coming up….she pretty much wants things her sister already has)

Haktoys HAK101 Red Invincible Tornado Acrobatic Stunt RC Car

Baby pacifier doll

Little Live Pets Baby Dragon

Home Items:

Security Cameras– I’m not sure what brand I’m looking for right now, but I’m open to seeing what’s out there.

Amazon Echo– I’d like to get two more for the house.

2 Bathroom Faucets – Of course, one of the faucets in my daughters’ bathroom broke (yesterday!). I’m not too sad about this, because it’s very old and my youngest literally can’t turn it on without my help.

Collapsible Laundry Basket– I need a long rectangle laundry basket and ideally, I could store it in between my washer and dryer. I saw one at Costco that was under $13. So, I’ll most likely get that one, but if I see a cheaper one, I’ll probably add it to my cart.

Height Adjustable Desk– I have my eye set on this set from Costco and waiting for it to go on sale (I’ve seen it lower before). However, I’d be open to seeing if anything else is out there.

File Box– I have three of these boxes. I’d like to add one more. In my ideal life, I have one box per family member (Rusty our dog is organized with my stuff 🙂) I’ll have medical records, school papers, keepsakes, etc stored in them.

3 Drawer Set– My daughters’ bathroom has terrible storage and no drawers! I need one of these to place on their counter, so I can easily store their dental care stuff in one drawer, hair ties/clips in another, and I’ll figure out what the next one will be!

Bentgo Lunch Box Refill– I would really love two extras to go with the girls’ Bentgo Lunch Boxes that way I could do a little preparation work ahead of time.

Aquariam– Girls want a cat or a puppy…….No. Maybe they’ll settle for a fish?

Grocery/Pantry/Household Items:

Quinoa Flakes– My husband eats these for breakfast every day. They are around $9.99 a box!!!!! Since Whole Foods sells them, I’m hoping there might be a sale to stock up.

GoMacro Bars

Presto! AmazonBasics Paper Towels– I’m open to exploring this. Right now, I buy my paper towels at Costco (Kirkland Brand)….so we’ll see!

Car:

Graco Affix Backless Booster

Exercise:

Air Bike– this is in our future. We’ll see if it’s now or in a few months!

Husband: (what he’s looking at)

Swim Shirt

Me:

Swim Suit Cover Up– We are heading to the beach in a few weeks. I desperately need a cover up and new swim suit!

Swim Suit

Rusty (my dog):

Movoflex– I keep talking about this, but it literally changed his quality of life. If I can find it cheaper than $25, I’d like to stock up.

Hobbies: (aka…this podcast/blog for me & golfing for husband)

Samsung Q2U Microphone– So, I have the Blue Yeti (which I purchased before I knew anything about podcasting). It’s a good microphone, but if this went on sale, I’d probably get this one.

Audio-Technica ATH-M30x Professional Studio Monitor Headphones

Suncast Golf Bag Garage Organizer Rack

Well…that’s it! I’ll do another follow-up post on what I actually purchased. It’ll probably be nothing like this list…ha!

Have fun on Prime Days!
