Earlier this summer, Walmart and Ibotta (the cash back app) entered into a partnership. I need to do an episode on ibotta now that I think about it. You basically choose products that have an offer, then you buy that product, upload a receipt, and then the cash back is added into the app. Now, the unique thing about this partnership is that rebates will be redeemed and cash provided directly to customers Walmart accounts to be used for future Walmart purchases, applied toward a Walmart+ membership, used for grocery delivery and more. All in all, this is worth checking out if you shop at Walmart. I do a lot of Walmart shopping and need to get going on maximizing my spending there. I know I’m missing out on some benefits here. Are you going to Disneyland this year? If so, this is a fun secret for you. The Magic Key Terrace has a secret menu cocktail named after a feral cat, named Nutmeg that likes to hang around and be friendly with guests and cast members. The secret cocktail is named……..drum roll……Nutmeg. It’s made with Myers dark rum, Bailey’s Irish Cream, Frangelico hazelnut liqueur and apricot liqueur. 100% a dessert drink. So, I think it’d be super fun to order a secret cocktail somewhere. Should I go to Disneyland just for this experience? If you know of any secret cocktails in the Dallas area….share them with me at laura@shortcutshopper.com or dm me on Instagram. Read article

If you are listening in real time, Costco and Proctor & Gamble’s yearly promotion is happening right now through Sept 26, 2021. When you spend $100 on qualifying Proctor & Gamble products, you receive a $25 Costco gift card. Now this isn’t instant…you’ll have to submit your receipts, but if you’ve never done this before, I’d suggest you at least give it a try. Most of the products that qualify, I’d argue, you probably already use.
